Ipoh sinkhole under repair, says council spokesman

IPOH: A sinkhole that appeared on Jalan Kamaruddin Isa in Fair Park here is now being repaired following pictures of it going viral online.

An Ipoh City Council spokesman said the repair works by the concessionaire started on Saturday (Sept 5).

"The city council appreciate the information on the damage that has been relayed to us by the public.

"Cooperation by the people in reporting any damages is helpful so that the necessary actions can be taken effectively and immediately," he said when contacted on Monday.

"The city council will continue to monitor the location from time to time to ensure it is safe to be used," he added.
