Selangor Ruler grants audience to Anglican Bishop Danald


PETALING JAYA: The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah granted an audience to Anglican Bishop of Kuching and Borneo Rt Revd Datuk Danald Jute at Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam yesterday.

During the audience, His Royal Highness and Danal exchanged views on current issues, according to a post on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.

The Selangor Ruler had previously visited Danald’s residence during a visit to Sarawak in November last year.

Danald was ordained Bishop of the Anglican Church of Kuching and Brunei on Aug 13, 2017.

He has been widely involved in inter-religious discussions and dialogues abroad, including at Egypt’s Al-Azhar University.

Danald is also the chairman of the Anglican Interfaith Commission globally.

Also present was Datuk Lela Jasa Diraja Datuk Richard Curtis.
