A Penang Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the 55-year-old victim was found at 1.15am on Thursday (Sept 5).

"His death was confirmed by Health Ministry personnel at the scene," he said in a statement.

The victim's body was handed over to the police for further investigation, he added.
