Michael Wong shows off toned body at Wuhan concert

DESPITE being 54, Malaysian singer Michael Wong showed off a set of washboard abs while performing recently in Wuhan, China, reported China Press.

The Ipoh native, who is currently on a world tour, showed fans that he still maintains a youthful figure in spite of his age.

While performing the song Holding on to Your Hand on stage on Aug 17, Wong took off his jacket, revealing a six-pack and toned chest in front of cheering fans.

When a video of the act went viral on social media, Malaysian fans complained that they were not given the same treatment during Wong’s concert in Kuala Lumpur on May 4.

“Your countrymen are not happy,” one Internet user wrote.

It was reported that Wong, who is known as the Prince of Love Songs, retains a loyal fan base in Taiwan and China.

A fan from Zhejiang commented that he took up Bahasa Malaysia because of Wong.

“I never thought of visiting another country. ... I loved your songs and hoped that I could one day visit Malaysia to see the place you were born,” he wrote.

The fan added that he studied hard just so he could work for a company that could send him to Malaysia for work trips regularly.

“Right now, I can even speak Bahasa Malaysia and Cantonese. I have also visited your hometown. Thank you Michael as you have made me better myself. Terima kasih,” he wrote.
