Dr Mahathir hospitalised at IJN over cough


PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been warded at the National Heart Institute (IJN) since Monday (July 15).

His spokesman Sufi Yusoff told Bloomberg News on Thursday (July 18) that the 99-year-old premier was admitted for coughing.

Dr Mahathir has been in and out of hospitals over the past few years. He was last warded in IJN in January, where he was admitted for 53 days, for treatment of infection and observation.
