Dewan Rakyat approves motion to appoint Teresa Kok vice-chairman of PAC


KUALA LUMPUR: Teresa Kok (pic) has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said had tabled a motion in the Dewan Rakyat for the Seputeh MP’s appointment.

The motion was approved by the House.

She will be replacing Wong Shu Qi (PH-Kluang) for the post.

Kok, when contacted on Monday(July 15), explained that it was nothing out of the ordinary.

"She (Wong) has to concentrate on the TalentCorp (Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd) chairman's post," added Kok.

Wong, who is a two-term Kluang MP, was appointed as TalentCorp chairman last month.

She has been serving as PAC deputy chairman since April 2023.
