Award-winning learning system: The VU Block Model
VU takes a different approach to university learning with its award-winning VU Block Model, where students focus on one unit at a time before moving on to the next.
With each block dedicated to a single subject, students can give their full attention to the content, complete their assessments and receive feedback within days.
Beyond the structure, the classroom experience is designed to be highly engaging. Students attend interactive, workshop-style classes three days a week, with smaller groups that encourage participation and closer interaction with lecturers. It is a learning environment built around focus, discussion and active involvement rather than simply sitting through lectures.

The results speak for themselves as VU’s Block Model demonstrated strong outcomes, with data showing pass rates 13% higher among first-year students and 5% higher among second-year students compared with those studying under the traditional model.
