KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) may get a new vice-chairman from Pakatan Harapan.

A motion for Teresa Kok (PH-Seputeh) to replace Wong Shu Qi (PH-Kulang) as the PAC vice-chairman has been listed among the Dewan Rakyat's order of business for Tuesday (July 16), with the motion moved by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

Kok, when contacted, explained that it was nothing out of the ordinary.

"She (Wong) has to concentrate on TalentCorp (Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd) chairman post," added Kok.

Wong, a two-term Kluang MP, was appointed as TalentCorp chairman last month.

She has been serving as PAC vice-chairman since April 2023.
