Sabah Bersatu secretary Abdul Kadir steps down

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Bersatu secretary Abdul Kadir Abdullah @ Damsal has resigned from his post.

Citing no reason for the decision, he tendered his resignation to Sabah Bersatu chief Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee effective Sunday (July 14).

However, he remains as Batu Sapi (Sandakan) Bersatu head.

Abdul Kadir was appointed Bersatu Sabah secretary following the re-establishment of the party in November 2022 after the mass exodus of its members led by Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Prior to his appointment as Bersatu secretary, he was the strategy and election unit secretary under the purview of Hajiji, then head of Sabah Bersatu and the secretary to the Bersatu state MA63 committee chaired by Datuk Maijol Mahap.

He thanked Kiandee for the appointment and pledged his loyalty to the party under the leadership of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
