Dr Wee submits matriculation appeals list to Education Minister


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has submitted a list of appeal cases for admission to the Matriculation Program for further action by the Ministry of Education.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday (July 10), the MCA president said he spoke with Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek while attending the 15th Infrastructure, Transport, and Communication Special Select Committee meeting.

“Wishing all the straight As students all the best. Thank you, YB Education Minister!” said Dr Wee.

On Tuesday (July 10), Dr Wee submitted the list of matriculation applicants who failed in their appeals to be admitted to the programme to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Dr Wee said that of the 151 students who failed in their appeals to be admitted to the matriculation programme, 74 qualified for matriculation due to getting straight As.

He said 65 students had scored more than 10As, with seven scoring a full 11As.
