PETALING JAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated the national men's and women's doubles, Aaron Chia-Aaron Tai and Pearly Tan-M Thinaah, for successfully emerging as the runners-up of the 2026 Taiwan Open.
He said even though both pairs put up a tough fight, the Super 300 fortune has yet to be in Malaysia's favour.
“Don't give up! This achievement remains a positive sign for the country's new pair, Chia-Tai, and also Pearly-Thinaah, who are gradually finding their rhythm again after returning to action following a long break due to Pearly's back injury,” he said on his Facebook page on Sunday (Aug 2).
He urged both pairs to keep going and rise stronger.
