No student will be left out, says Fadhlina over PM's matriculation guarantee

PETALING JAYA: No SPM top scorers will be left out, assures Fadhlina Sidek as she asks for time to resolve the placement of outstanding students who have yet to secure a matriculation spot.

The Education Minister said that her ministry, together with the Higher Education Ministry, has taken a proactive approach to ensure that all outstanding SPM students are allowed to continue their studies.

"The Madani government's initiative to ensure that all excellent SPM students who obtain 10As get matriculation spots to continue their studies is a bold step to ensure that no one is marginalised," she said in a statement on Facebook on Sunday (July 7).

Fadhlina added that the Madani government's commitment to ensure the rights of bumiputra students are protected was also proven through the maintenance of the existing bumiputra quota under the ministry's matriculation programme.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently announced that all students who obtain 10As and above in SPM will be guaranteed a place in any matriculation programme, beginning this year.
