National contingent to sport Rizman Ruzaini baju Melayu for Paris Olympics opening ceremony


PETALING JAYA: The national contingent will be donning baju Melayu-inspired outfits designed by Malaysian fashion brand Rizman Ruzaini as they walk the Paris Olympics opening ceremony on July 26.

This was confirmed by Paris Olympics chef de mission (CDM) Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, who said the outfits will be unveiled to the public soon.

“They will be baju Melayu themed and will be traditional. We have finalised the design and will show it to the public soon,” he said during a press conference at the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM).

The Malaysian fashion duo, Rizman Ruzaini, recently made headlines as superstar Lady Gaga was seen wearing a sparkly creation designed by the two designers at a show in Las Vegas, United States.
