Akmal's comment on Nga 'inappropriate', says Anwar

SHAH ALAM: The comments by Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh on a Cabinet member were inappropriate, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said that he would not entertain such a statement and called for unity to work for the country.

“I don’t entertain such statements. To my mind, it’s not in the proper context of our unity government. We should work together,” he told reporters after launching the 5th Ambedkar International Convention at IDCC here on Sunday (April 14).

Anwar was responding to the recent statement made by Akmal who called Housing and Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming “unwise” in a Facebook post.
