Theatre cafe in Bukit Beruang to hold special charity performance for animal shelter

MELAKA: An art and theatre cafe in Bukit Beruang here will be organising a charity performance in aid of an animal welfare shelter.

Krate Creative Space and Cafe's owner Wee Shyre May said the curated performance will be held at her eatery at 8pm on March 23.

"We're attempting to raise funds for the animal shelter in Alor Gajah through this event," she said on Friday (March 15).

Wee said the fund raised will be channelled to Shikin Shelter managed by 30-year-old Norashikin Ahmad.

The shelter cares for hundreds of cats and dogs as well as horses that were saved.

Norashikin followed in her father, Ahmad Saad’s footsteps and began taking an active role in animal rescue in 2014, two years after her father died.

Those interested to join the charity performance could contact - 018-2235311 or visit www.krate.com.my.
