> Veteran Hong Kong actor Lo Hoi-pang lost his sight in one eye due to diabetes, Nanyang Siang Pau also reported.
“Long-term diabetes has caused glaucoma in my left eye. I knew there is no cure for it,” he told TV host Tang Ying-mun in an interview at a gathering of the alumni of TVB’s artiste training class.
The 82-year-old graduated in 1974 with Tang and others including Chow Yun-fat, the late Ng Man-tat, Law Koon-lan and award-winning film director, the late Lam Ling-tung.
It was reported that Lo has joined Chow for his morning jog since developing health issues in 2018.
Lo said he jogs non-stop for an hour daily.
“After that I will buy bread and make myself a drink, a simple breakfast,” he added.
