Cabinet reshuffle: Ministers and Deputy Ministers carry great responsibilities, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: The role of Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers comes with great responsibilities, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Expressing his good wishes to the new appointments, the Ayer Hitam MP said Cabinet members have a big responsibility to ensure the well-being of Malaysians.

“Congratulations to the newly appointed Ministers and Deputy Ministers, following the announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim this morning.

“These appointments carry great responsibilities of ensuring the well-being and prosperity of our country.

“Best wishes to the new Cabinet as it brings new hope to overcoming the challenges before us,” he wrote on his Facebook on Tuesday (Dec 12).

Earlier, Anwar announced major changes to his Cabinet, increasing the total number of ministers from 28 to 31.

According to him, the reshuffle was necessary due to the changing situation including economic and international factors.
