Storm damages ready-to-harvest crop in Selangor, 200 padi farmers devastated

TANJONG KARANG: A padi farmer in Sawah Sempadan here suffered huge losses when his 1.2-hectare ready-to-harvest crop was destroyed by a recent storm.

"I should have harvested the crop three days earlier, but because of the rain, postponed it so that the crop would be drier, but the storm came," said the 61-year-old farmer, Mansuri Dugan, 61.
