PUCHONG: IOI Properties Group (IOIPG) celebrated the grand opening of Sierra Fresco and the new IOI Galleria at its 16 Sierra township, Puchong South with a weekend full of festivities and entertainment, bringing fun and excitement to the surrounding community.

Nestled at the heart of 16 Sierra, the newly opened Sierra Fresco is a dynamic 4.05ha commercial hub that features a curated selection of popular brands, which aims to provide conveniences and lifestyle options to the community.

With a total net lettable area of 98,000sqft, Sierra Fresco is fully managed by IOIPG and is home to well-known brands such as Village Grocer, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, CU Mart, Anytime Fitness, Subway and many others.

“Our vision for Sierra Fresco is more than just a commercial hub – we aim to build a thriving community lifestyle destination that enriches the lives of our residents and improves vitality,” said IOIPG group chief operating officer Teh Chin Guan.

“With our lineup of attractive shops and outlets, we are confident that Sierra Fresco will serve as a junction not only for residents of 16 Sierra but also for the wider community in the vicinity.”

IOIPG has also officiated the opening of its brand-new IOI Galleria at 16 Sierra, which is strategically located within Sierra Fresco. The new sales gallery complements the vibrant atmosphere of Sierra Fresco, providing prospective buyers with a sense of place to explore, discover, and envision their future within the community of 16 Sierra, Puchong South.

“As part of our commitment to reduce carbon footprint, we have implemented a few low-carbon initiatives at Sierra Fresco.

“These include the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and solar-powered street lights in the development.

“We are also going to install the solar photovoltaic (PV) System to generate clean energy for our sales gallery’s consumption,” Teh added.

To encourage green living, Sierra Fresco has allocated 6,504sqft of its commercial space for urban farming.

“Urban farming provides access to healthy, fresh and locally grown produce. It plays a vital role in promoting environmental sustainability.

“By spearheading such an initiative in Sierra Fresco, we wish to encourage more residents to participate in the green journey.”

The next 12 months will be a busy period for 16 Sierra as the township ramped up its offer to introduce more projects to the market. These include two new parcels of landed developments in 16 Sierra, comprising two-storey terrace houses and three-storey townhouses, both scheduled to launch in December 2023.

In the pipeline for launching in February 2024 is a new transit-oriented development (TOD), which will offer around 600 units of two to four-bedroom service apartments that are within walking distance to the 16 Sierra MRT Station.

The grand opening of Sierra Fresco attracted residents within the township and nearby neighbourhoods.

To showcase the essence of Sierra Fresco’s vibrant spirit, the programme lineup included fun-filled activities such as game booths, bazaar, performances, contests, lantern walkabout, free trial classes by Anytime Fitness, and giveaways.
