PETALING JAYA: Matty Healy, the frontman of British band The 1975, overstepped his right to freedom of expression in his tirade against Malaysia's LGBT laws, says The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).

Suhakam chairman Datuk Dr Rahmat Mohamad condemned Healy's actions at the Good Vibes Festival, stating that he had disrespected local laws and Malaysian culture.
