Sarawak granted authority to directly issue permits for fishing vessels, says Uggah

KUCHING: Sarawak has been granted authority to issue permits and licences for fishing vessels and equipment in Zones A, B and C without referring to the Malaysia Fisheries Department, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah.

He said this was decided during the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) technical committee meeting on July 18 chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
