AUTHORITIES in Tamil Nadu, India, finally contacted a family who had completely isolated themselves in their home, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The family in Kanyakumari said they were being threatened, so they locked themselves in two years ago.

Recently, welfare department officials, police and fire department officers went to the house to check on them but they didn’t get any response from the family.

So the officers jumped over the fence and broke the house door to confirm that lawyer Perseus Alexander, his wife Malathi and their two daughters were safe and alive.

> A former government servant in Perak who has been unable to work after an accident has received some much-needed help, Malaysia Nanban also reported.

K. Kamalanathan has been struggling to support his family due to neurological problems caused by an accident in 2021.

Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad visited the family and promised to get them a piece of land to build a house.

A few days ago, Kamalanathan received a state government letter confirming the land allocation and announced that state MIC would bear the fees for the land.
