PETALING JAYA: A passenger is believed to have fainted before falling onto the tracks at the Wangsa Maju LRT station, says Rapid KL.
In a statement, Rapid KL said the incident happened at 6.52am Tuesday (Sept 22).
"As soon as the incident occured, the Platform Intrusion Emergency Stop (Pies) system was activated and power to the tracks was cut as a safety measure.
"This resulted in a slight delay to Kelana Jaya LRT line services," it said in the statement posted on its social media channels.
Rapid KL added that the passenger was rescued from the track area by personnel at the station and taken to the emergency room for immediate treatment.
Rapid KL advised passengers who feel unwell or need assistance at stations or on platforms to seek assistance from auxiliary police or station personnel.
It also reminded passengers to remain behind the yellow line while waiting for trains.
