Two illegals to be charged for murder of man in a Port Dickson's farm

PORT DICKSON: Two undocumented 19-year-old Myanmar nationals will be charged with the murder of a 44-year-old man who was found dead in his farm near here recently.

Deputy police chief Deputy Supt Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said three other fellow countrymen, who had been living here illegally, would be produced as prosecution witnesses in the case.

"We have forwarded the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor and obtained an order to charge the two suspects.

"They will be charged at the Magistrate's Court on Friday (March 3), " he said.

The two will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.

He said all the five foreigners would also be charged under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act for not having valid travel documents.

The five had been under police custody since Feb 20 following their arrests in Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam.

The victim's father lodged a report at around 3pm on Feb 18 after he found the remains of his son at the farm.

A police team at the crime scene found the victim’s body with his hands and legs tied.

There were also injuries to his head and body.

The victim's father last saw him alive on Feb 17 when he went to the farm to send him dinner.
