PETALING JAYA: PAS has instructed its legal team to look into four election petitions filed to challenge the results in seats that it won in Kelantan and Terengganu.
The petitions were filed by GE15 candidates for the Gua Musang, Marang, Kemaman and Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seats.
“InsyaAllah, we pray for our success,” PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man (pic) said when contacted on Tuesday (Jan 17).

He said petitions to challenge election results are common and it is allowed under the democratic system.
According to reports, Terengganu Umno filed petitions over the Marang, Kemaman and Kuala Terengganu results on Jan 3, alleging money politics by Perikatan Nasional in the national polls.
The Marang seat is held by PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.

PAS candidates Che Alias Hamid and Amzad Hashim won the Kemaman and Kuala Terengganu seats respectively.
Also on Jan 3, former 12-term Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah filed a petition to challenge the GE15 result in that seat, alleging money politics in Bersatu's Datuk Mohd Azizi Abu Naim's win by a slim 163-vote margin.
Mohd Azizi contested under the PAS banner.
