The search and rescue (SAR) operation to look for the remaining 12 victims of a landslide here had resumed at 7.30am.

Police on Friday (Dec 17) said they had halted the operations around midnight due to unfavourable weather.

The death toll currently stands at 21. A total of 61 people have been rescued.

An early morning landslide struck near the Father's Organic Farm campsite at Gohtong Jaya here.

Among those involved in the SAR were K9 tracker dog units, the Emergency Medical Rescue Service from the Sentosa, Ampang, Pandan, Kota Anggerik, Kajang dan Andalas Fire and Rescue stations, as well as the Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team.
