GE15 just a short wait away, says PM

KUALA LUMPUR: It will not be too long before the 15th General Election (GE15) takes place, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said Umno's top five leaders would meet soon to set the date.

"We are very close to the election. I will set the date with the president. Trust me, just wait a little while longer. I hear your calls clearly," said the Umno vice-president.

"What's important is that when Parliament is dissolved and GE15 is held – we must win," added Ismail Sabri in his speech at Stadium Titiwangsa here on Saturday (Sept 17) during the launch of the Barisan Nasional Youth election machinery.

As he stood on stage, multiple calls of "Bubar, Bubar, Bubar" (dissolve) were heard from the thousands of Barisan Youth members at the event.

Ismail Sabri added that the high spirits displayed by the youth would make it easier for himself and Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to set the date.
