KUALA LUMPUR: Thousands of Barisan Nasional Youth members converged chanting Hidup BN (long live Barisan) accompanied by a lion dance troupe to welcome Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to Stadium Titiwangsa, here on Saturday (Sept 17).
Ismail Sabri welcomed Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as they were ushered into the stadium packed with supporters.
Also present was Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, vice-president Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Barisan youth chief Datuk Seri Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
Pemuda Barisan clad jerseys in their signature dark blue with the words #bangkitsemula were eager to catch a glimpse of their leaders.
The atmosphere at the stadium was full of energy with blaring music to get the national anthem going.
Also present was MIC vice-president Datuk T. Murugiah.
