IPOH: The body of the second female hiker who went missing at Gunung Suku has been recovered.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Muhammad Shahrizal Aris said the body was found near a tunnel along Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands on Saturday (May 21) at about 11.20am.

"The body was found by our canine unit under a pile of debris.
"We retrieved the body, which had injuries to the torso and head, at 11.55am and handed it over to the police for the next course of action," he said in a statement Saturday.

"We are unable to ascertain the identity of the victim and this needs to be done by the (Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital) forensics unit.
"With that, we concluded our operations at 1pm," he said, adding that the body of the first victim was found on May 16.

Two victims, identified as See Su Yen, 32, and Ng Yee Chew, 46, from Cheras and Klang, respectively, were swept away by a sudden surge of water and soil while hiking with a group of 29 people on May 15.
