Early polls due to fear of new Covid-19 variants, not Undi18, says Sarawak CM

KUCHING: Concerns over new Covid-19 variants emerging prompted Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to seek holding the state election now rather than next year, says Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

The Chief Minister said it was not due to fears of 18 to 21-year-olds being to able to vote from January onwards with the implementation of Undi18.
