KANGAR: Perlis police have confirmed that another report has been lodged against a male motivational speaker over alleged sexual harassment.
Perlis police chief Deputy Comm Hamzah Hashim said the report was received on Saturday (Oct 3) involving a 19-year-old woman.
"The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act," he said in a statement on Sunday (Oct 4).
DCP Hamzah said the man has been remanded for two days over a report lodged in Padang Besar.
He said the motivational speaker would be released on police bail before being re-arrested by Kangar police.
He added that a remand application for the latest case would be made at the Kangar Magistrates' Court on Monday (Oct 5). – Bernama
