Kitingan: Sabah STAR confident new PM will continue good work of predecessor

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah STAR is confident that newly appointed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will carry on the good work of his predecessor, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Party president Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan (pic) said this is because Ismail Sabri has extensive experience in the federal administration.

He is also hopeful that the new federal administration will continue to collaborate with the GRS government in Sabah, including restoring its rights as per Malaysia Agreement 1963.

“This is an issue of great importance for us,” he said.

“After weeks of political uncertainty, I hope that the question of who has the majority will be put to rest and that all political parties will finally be able to work together as we continue our battle against Covid-19,” Jeffrey added.
