Ahmad Maslan congratulates Ismail Sabri, says four issues need urgent attention

PUTRAJAYA: Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan (pic) has congratulated his party boss Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob over his appointment as Prime Minister.

Saying that he hopes that Ismail Sabri will be successful in his duties, Ahmad listed down four points which needed urgent attention.

"Urgently, the Prime Minister should ensure that the war against Covid-19 is won.

"Also, measures to repair the economy should be done and also see to it that there is political stability in the country," he said on Friday (Aug 20).

Ahmad also pointed out the need to ensure harmony among the people.

Vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Khaled Nordin said Ismail Sabri will receive full support from Umno in carrying out his duty as Prime Minister.

"We will work with the Prime Minister so that he can steer the country out of the crisis, and that he can carry out his responsibility effectively," he said.
