Body of man found in Batu Pahat lake


BATU PAHAT: The body of a man was found in a lake in Tanjung Labuh here.

Penggaram Fire and Rescue Department operations commander K. Kumar said they were informed about a body in Tasek Tanjung Labuh at 5.52pm on Tuesday (June 22).

A total of 10 firemen were sent to the scene.

"We believe the body of the man, believed to be in his 40s, had been in the lake for nearly a week before he was found.

"We fished his body out and handed the remains over to the police," he said.
