Covid-19: SJK(C) Pin Hwa 2 in Klang closed after two students test positive for Covid-19


PETALING JAYA: SJK(C) Pin Hwa 2 in Klang will be closed on Friday (April 30) and Saturday (May 1) after two students there tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday (April 29).

In a statement on Thursday, the disaster management task force of SJK(C) Pin Hwa 2 said that one student each from primary four and primary five had tested positive for Covid-19.

"Following that, the school received a closure order from the Selangor Education Department at 8.32pm and the school will be closed on Friday and Saturday to conduct sanitation works," it said in a statement.

SJK(C) Pin Hwa 2 will resume teaching as normal next Monday (May 3), said the statement.

It also said the mid-year examinations for Standard 2 will be postponed until further notice.

"Following that, the school will always conduct sanitation on the school premises and tighten SOPs in order to ensure the safety of everyone in the school.

"The school will issue further updates to parents."

Malaysia has recorded four-digit spikes in Covid-19 in recent days, and on Thursday (April 29), there were 3,332 new cases reported.
