Get ready to snap up Tamil filters for Snapchat

A STUDENT from the National University of Singapore is developing Tamil filters and stickers for the popular Snapchat messaging app, Makkal Osai reported.

JS Sasikumar, 28, said he has been interested in art from a young age.

He was contacted by a senior designer from Snapchat who had seen some of his artwork on his Instagram page and mooted the idea for collaboration to create the Tamil features.

He is now in the process of creating the Tamil filters and stickers which will be introduced in four phases, Sasikumar said.

Devasthanam treasurer and urban community ubayam coordinator Datuk P. Azhagan received the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah rank from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in conjunction with Federal Territories Day last month.
