KUALA LUMPUR: Covid-19 has led to a tumultuous 2020, not just for Malaysia but the whole world.
Even though we have yet to come out of the woods, Chinese metaphysics experts are hopeful that the Year of the Ox will be a more positive one.
According to feng shui master Lee Cheng Hoe, the Chinese almanac, Tung Shing, indicates that 2021 will generally offer brighter prospects.
“The Tung Shing had very accurately predicted that 2020 would be bad. But in 2021, the Tung Shing does see the light at the end of the tunnel, ” said Lee, principal of LCH Educational Centre.
While the pandemic may still be around in the earlier part of the year, Lee is optimistic that the situation will gradually improve.
“The overall outlook for the year is that the ‘weather is good for harvest in general’, thus the economy should recover and people can afford to breathe a sigh of relief, ” said Lee, who has over 15 years’ experience as a professional feng shui consultant, trainer and speaker.
He further describes the Ox in 2021 as an animal that symbolises a “silent hard worker who strives for self-improvement and endeavours to get out of 2020’s predicament”.
“Therefore, in 2021, the government will continue to assist the people and the elders will also care for the younger generations, ” he said.
When it comes to investments, there is a trend of speculation, so those who wish to invest in the stock market must act fast for quick returns on high risk investments.
“However, beware of financial scams, ” Lee cautioned.
Singaporean oracle reader and numerology master Gracy Yap sees 2020 as a reset button.
The founder of the Gracy Yap Golden Numbers Academy said on the bright side, there are signs in astrology and numerology indicating a brighter year ahead.
“This year signifies new beginnings and the transition into a ‘lighter’ year. We must also embrace change to have the freedom to move in any direction we want. This freedom could symbolise being free from the shackles of a job or a toxic relationship that no longer serves you.
“To succeed in 2021, one needs intellect, speed of execution, and adaptability to changes in the new normal, ” she advised.
