PETALING JAYA: It was a subdued New Year’s Eve for the country as Malaysians continue to hope and wait for the vaccine to end their year of Covid-19 woes.

Despite the rain, policemen were out in full force at the usual party spots in KLCC, Bukit Bintang and Dataran Merdeka, where last New Year’s Eve jubilation was noisy and filled with merriment.
