KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a Nepalese security guard for the suspected murder of his fellow countryman in a fight at a condominium in Jalan Gurney 2 here.

Wangsa Maju district police chief Supt Rajab Ahad Ismail said the 30-year-old suspect was arrested at a vegetable farm hut near Kampung Bukit Tinggi in Bentong, Pahang, at 1am yesterday.

He said the police received a report of a fight involving foreigners at 2.40pm on Thursday.

They found the 27-year-old victim, also a Nepalese, dead at the scene, believed to have been stabbed with a sharp weapon.“Based on the initial investigation, the suspect and the victim were working as security guards and had been living in the company’s hostel at the condominium for about six months.

“A 12cm knife believed to have been used in the incident was found near the scene, ” Supt Rajab said when contacted yesterday.

The two men are believed to have been drunk before an argument broke out between them, which led to the stabbing.
