A FAN obsessed with Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat (pic) was unrepentant upon being released from seven-day police custody, with his latest Weibo post having caused a stir, Sin Chew Daily reported.
“Don’t emulate me, ” he wrote in his post, which was accompanied by an emoji of a smug grin.
Netizens commented that his post was “disgusting” and his “punishment was not severe enough”.
The man was arrested two weeks ago after running onto the stage during a live broadcast, where he dropped to his knees and proposed to the 28-year-old actress with a ring.
The man had a history of being obsessed with Dilraba and stalked the actress for at least six months.
In May, he had written on Weibo: “I love Dilraba Dilmurat. I want to marry her. She can only be mine and no one else’s.”
Dilraba, who is of Uighur ethnic origin, shot to fame in 2016 after starring in the romance drama Eternal Love and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Shanghai Television Festival.
> Hong Kong actress Jacqueline Wong has posted a message on Instagram, assuring her fans that she is fine following news that her ex-boyfriend Kenneth Ma has found a new love, the daily also reported.
“Lately, I’ve been receiving a lot of messages asking if I’m okay. Thank you and don’t worry, life only gets better, ” Wong wrote on Tuesday.
“Some (people) are only willing to climb the highest mountain with you but do not have the courage to walk down the deepest valley with you, which leads to disappointment.
“Some people or things can be so important to you at a point in time but at crucial moments, they are just as light as a heron’s feather, ” she said.
Fans speculated that Wong was referring to married singer Andy Hui, whom she was caught kissing in April last year when she was still dating Ma.
The scandal made headlines in Hong Kong for months, causing the two to publicly apologise.
Ma’s new girlfriend is actress Roxanne Tong, who replaced Wong as the lead role in TV series Forensic Heroes IV, which Wong was fired from following the scandal.
