Muhyiddin: I'm leaving it to the police to probe rep's arrest

PETALING JAYA: Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) says he will not interfere with the investigation in connection with the arrest of Adhif Syan Abdullah and 16 others.

The Home Minister said he has been informed of the Dengkil assemblyman's arrest and will leave it fully to the police to investigate.

"I will not interfere as the authorities must take action in accordance with the law.

"I would also like to clarify that Pizi Jihat (one of those arrested) works at Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia's (Bersatu) headquarters and he is not my special officer as reported previously," he said in a statement on Monday (Jan 13).

Adhif, who is also Selangor Bersatu Youth chief, in an interview with news portal MalaysiaKini, denied that he was detained during a drug party in Puchong early Sunday (Jan 12).
