MELAKA: The Pentaksiran Kemasukan Sekolah Khusus (PKSK) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examinations in Melaka will proceed as scheduled on Tuesday (Oct 13) despite the closure of all schools in the state due to haze.
The Melaka Education Department said all candidates are advised to refer to further announcements and instructions posted on its official Facebook page regarding the implementation of both the assessment and examination.
"The department will continue to monitor the latest developments, including the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in the areas concerned and provide official updates should there be any changes to the operations of educational institutions.
"Parents, guardians, examination candidates and school administrators are advised to refer to the department's official channels for accurate and up-to-date information, as well as to comply with all stipulated requirements," it said in a statement.
The department said the health and safety of students and all education personnel remained its priority to ensure the smooth operation of educational institutions throughout the period of unhealthy weather.
