PKR Youth questions whether GPS, GRS would accept PAS Prime Minister after GE16

PETALING JAYA: PKR’s youth wing has questioned whether Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) would accept a PAS Prime Minister following the 16th General Election.

Astro Awani reported that PKR Youth’s executive council member Dzul Hilmi Zainol said Barisan Nasional and PAS have yet to name a leadership candidate for their rumoured alliance.

He added that the situation could arise because PAS could win more seats than Barisan in the alliance, as it holds the most MPs.

He said that a credible alliance requires prior consensus on leadership, national direction, and reforms, rather than just accumulating seats.

“GE16 is not merely a contest to determine which party wins the most seats. It is an opportunity for the people to decide who has the leadership, policies and vision to move Malaysia forward,” he said in a statement on Monday (Oct 12).
