PASIR PUTEH: An express bus travelling from Negri Sembilan to Kota Baru skidded and crashed into a surau at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bukit Jawa 2 here early Monday (Oct 12) morning.
Pasir Puteh OCPD Supt Saari Yaacob said the incident happened at about 4.50am at Kilometre 1, Jalan Selising-Kok Lanas.
"The accident involved a 60-year-old male driver and three passengers, but all of them escaped unhurt.
"Preliminary investigations found the bus was believed to have lost control before the driver tried to brake, but the bus continued to slide and crashed into the surau," he said in a statement on Monday.
Supt Saari said the case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/59).
