GOMBAK: The body of a baby was discovered in a garbage disposal area along Jalan Selayang here.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ibrahim Husin said police were alerted to the discovery of a foetus on Sunday (Oct 11).
"An investigation paper has been opened under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealing a birth by secret disposal of a dead body," ACP Ibrahim said on Monday (Oct 12).
Police have urged anyone with information regarding the case to contact the nearest police station, the Gombak District Police Headquarters Operations Centre at 03-6126 2222, or investigating officer Insp Prakash Sithambaram at 012-294 0827.
