Selangor rep, four political officers nabbed at drug party

PETALING JAYA: A Selangor state assemblyman and four political special officers were among 17 people arrested, following a raid in Puchong.

It is believed that six women were also among those arrested.

It is learnt that police had initially gone to the location after receiving complaints, from members of the public, of loud noises coming from a building early Monday morning (Jan 13).

Sources said that the people at the location were having a private party and police also believed drug consumption and illegal gambling were among the activities at the private party.

"Police discovered some powder substance believed to be drugs," a source said.

Sources added that 16 of those arrested tested positive for drug consumption following a urine test.

The assemblyman was held at the Jinjang Lockup following the raid.
