Adif Syan claimed that he was at home in his house in Pulau Meranti, Puchong at the time, reported Malaysiakini.

"I was at home. The time, date, location (of alleged arrest) – I don't know where they picked it up from," Adhif Syan was quoted as saying.

An unverified police report, which has been going viral, alleged that Adhif Syan was nabbed along with 10 other government officers and six women at 1.30am on Sunday at during a "private party" in a club on Jalan Puchong.

Adhif Syan, who is also Selangor Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Youth chief, claimed that he had a meeting with his members in Dengkil before returning home on the night concerned.

"I have been resting. I have not been feeling well for the past week," he was quoted as saying.
