Locking horns over the bulls

GEORGE TOWN: The bulls that pull the seven-tonne silver chariot for Thaipusam here have once again earned public sympathy and this time, the state government’s Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB) wants the practice to end once and for all.

PHEB warns that it will take over Nattukotai Chettiar Temple unless the temple committee stops using bulls to pull the chariot next Thaipusam.
