One Kuchai Lama goldsmith robber in shootout was ex-Poca detainee

KUALA LUMPUR: A suspect who was arrested by the police at a shootout during an armed robbery at a goldsmith shop in a supermarket at Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesday (Nov 20), was a former detainee under the Prevention of Crime Act (Poca).

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim told Bernama that the 22-year-old suspect, who was remanded until Saturday (Nov 24), was from Teluk Panglima Garang, near Banting, Selangor, and had a Poca record in Terengganu.
