Irwan Serigar to be represented by Rosmah's lawyers


PUTRAJAYA: Former Treasury secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar will be represented by lawyers Datuk K. Kumaraendran and Datuk Geethan Ram Vincent in his joint CBT charges with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The duo are also the lawyers for Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in her money laundering case.

Najib will be represented by Tan Sri Dr Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, while Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram will be leading the prosecution.

The six charges against Najib and Dr Mohd Irwan will be mentioned before Sessions Court judge Azman Ahmad.

The former prime minister and former Treasury secretary-general are being jointly charged over six counts of criminal breach of trust amounting to RM6.636bil belonging to the Malaysian government.

Former Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO) chief Datuk Hasanah Abdul Hamid, who will also be charged for CBT involving US$12.1mil, will be represented by Datuk Shaharudin Ali.
